This page explains how to request deletion of your GenStars account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to accounts created on the GenStars website, iOS app, or Android app — you can request deletion here even if you have uninstalled the app.

How to request account deletion

Log in to your GenStars account on this website, using the same email address or sign-in method you use in the app.
Submit an account deletion request using the button below. The request form will be pre-filled for you.
We verify and process your request. We may contact you to confirm the request came from the account owner. Once verified, your account and personal data are deleted within 30 days, and we email you to confirm.

Can't log in? Email support@genstars.tvfrom the email address registered to your account with the subject “Account deletion request”, and we will process it the same way.

If you are currently running an active competition as its creator, we may need to wait until that competition concludes or is cancelled before your account can be deleted. We will let you know if this applies to you.

What is deleted and what is kept

Financial records (payments, payouts, entry fees)	Retained	7 years, as required by UK tax and accounting regulations
Content you uploaded to competitions that have concluded	May be retained as part of the competition record	For as long as the competition record is kept
Aggregated, anonymised statistics (competition results, leaderboards)	Retained — this data no longer identifies you	Indefinitely
All other personal data	Deleted or anonymised	Within 30 days of a verified request
