1. About These Terms

These terms of service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of GenStars, including our website and mobile applications (together, the "Service"). GenStars is operated by AAA Interactive Ltd ("GenStars", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

• You must be at least 16 years old to create a GenStars account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to pay an entry fee, create a competition with a prize pool, or receive a prize payout.
• Paid competition features (entry fees and prize pools) are currently available only to users located in the United Kingdom. We verify your location and may restrict access to these features.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure.

3. The Service

GenStars is a competition platform on which performers compete and judges and experts score their performances. Winners are determined by weighted voting and scoring by participants — a judgement of skill and merit. Competitions are not games of chance. Some competitions are free to enter; others have an entry fee and award prizes.

4. Competitions, Entry Fees and Prizes

4.1 Entry fees

Certain competitions ("prize-pool competitions") require an entry fee, set by the competition creator and shown to you before you pay. A processing fee is added and disclosed at the same time. Entry fees are charged in-app via our payment processor, Stripe.

4.2 Cash prizes

Entry fees for a prize-pool competition fund that competition's prize pool. We hold the prize pool and distribute it to the winners after the competition completes. How the pool is allocated (for example, between champions, top judges, the creator, a nominated charity, and platform fees) is disclosed for each competition. We are responsible for paying out the cash prizes that we hold.

4.3 Non-cash and custom prizes

A creator may also offer non-cash or custom prizes (for example, physical items, features, or services), described within the competition. These prizes are provided by the creator, not by GenStars. The creator is solely responsible for awarding and delivering any non-cash prize they offer. GenStars does not take possession of, verify, or guarantee these prizes. After a competition completes, we may share a winner's contact details with the creator so that the creator can arrange delivery. Any dispute about a non-cash prize is between the winner and the creator who offered it.

4.4 Refunds

Entry fees may be refunded where a competition is cancelled or does not take place, or where you withdraw before registration closes, as described to you at the point of entry. Processing fees may be non-refundable. We will process eligible refunds to the original payment method.

4.5 Skill-based competitions, not gambling

Outcomes on GenStars are determined by the skill and judgement of participants through voting and scoring, not by chance. GenStars competitions are skill-based prize competitions and are not lotteries or gambling.

5. Who Operates Competitions

GenStars (AAA Interactive Ltd) is the operator and promoter of record for competitions run through the Service. We provide the platform, run the voting and results, hold and distribute entry fees and cash prizes, and enforce eligibility (age and location).

Creators host and configure individual competitions (such as the title, format, prizes, and capacity) but do not collect or hold entrant funds. Creators are responsible for delivering any non-cash prize they offer (see section 4.3) and for the content they post (see section 7).

6. Creator Subscriptions

Creating competitions may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are purchased and managed on our website and billed through Stripe. Subscription pricing and terms are shown at the point of purchase. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable.

7. User Content and Acceptable Use

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as videos and profile information). You grant GenStars a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service.

You must not post content that is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise objectionable. We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. The Service provides tools to report content and to block users. We review reports and remove content or remove users where appropriate, normally within 24 hours.

8. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. We are the merchant of record for in-app payments (entry fees and creator deposits). We do not store your card details. By submitting a payment, you authorise us to charge the amount disclosed at checkout.

9. Prohibited Conduct

• Manipulating voting or competition results, or attempting to do so.
• Creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage.
• Circumventing, or attempting to circumvent, age or location restrictions.
• Using the Service for fraud, money laundering, or any unlawful purpose.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the operation of the Service.

10. Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time from within the app; deletion removes your account and personal data, subject to any retention required by law (for example, financial records).

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for non-cash prizes offered by creators (see section 4.3) or for disputes between users.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GenStars will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify GenStars against claims, losses, and costs arising from your content, the competitions you create or run, the prizes you offer, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
